  • Any prepared runner, wheelchair user, or handbiker who accepts the conditions set out in the competition announcement can start the race.
  • Runners with strollers can participate in the race
  • Specific features of the course: the route will be extremely narrow in some parts of the course, there will be congestion due to the expected large number of participants, some sections of the course are dangerous (slippery sections are also possible on the coastal part)
  • A competitor who folds, covers, or does not wear their race number clearly during the race may receive a 10-minute time penalty.
  • A competitor may be disqualified if, despite repeated warnings, he violates the rule regarding wearing a start number, does not complete the entire distance of the race - designated by the organizers - or fills out the entry form inaccurately with inaccurate or incomplete data, or does not use the chip for its intended purpose.
  • For the sake of themselves and their fellow runners, it is not recommended for runners to listen to or use any music or other player plugged into both ears at the same time while completing the distance! The cyclist and motorbike organizers, and if necessary, the vehicles of the medical staff, are working in the field. The earphones suppress external noise, so the runner may hinder the previous runners and the organizers and medical team doing their work.
  • It is forbidden to roller skate, cycle, run with a cyclist, without a start number, or with a dog during the race!
  • We do not undertake any value retention in the competition!
  • Any advertising activity at the event location may only be carried out with the prior permission of BSI, in an agreed form and manner.
  • For organizational reasons, BSI reserves the right to limit the number of participants and close registration at any time.
  • BSI reserves the right to change the route, program and time.

On the day of the event

It's always worth paying attention to the announcer! Some things may change or be modified on the day of the event and this is the only way we can inform you about them.

Meeting point

We will set up “Meeting Point” signs at the competition center, which are clearly visible from afar, so that competitors, relatives and fans can meet each other around them. If you are coming with a group or class, this is a safe spot where you can meet up even in the large crowd. Before you start, agree with your companions and chaperones on the exact meeting point after reaching the finish line.

Information

At each of our events you will meet a dedicated information team who will help you navigate not only the specific event. If you are interested in details of other BSI events, or would like to register for other running or walking distances this year, look for the BSI information tent near the Competition Center!

Lost children

They can provide information about children separated from their parents in the information tent. We ask you to contact them for help!

Etiquette

Arrive on time! – to avoid the stress of waiting in line at the competition center and changing rooms, to have time to meet up with friends you haven't seen in a while, or to meet new acquaintances and sports buddies.

During the event, do not block the entire width of the road. If you hear someone trying to overtake you, move aside as soon as possible and let them pass.

We ask that you keep the area of the competition center and the route, especially at the refreshment stations, clean! Use the waste containers provided and do not litter! Restoring the venue to its original condition is a very big task, thank you for helping our work with this!

Conducting the start
Stage start at the event:
• You can only enter the starting zones from the side facing Lake Balaton.
• Participants are initiated in several stages.
• Each zone is separated by tape, zone signs and organizers.
• The entry gates will be kept open between the starting waves, so you can join the starters who match the planned pace during the start.
• The flags marking the time zones are the same as the zone markings on the start number: black numbers on a yellow background
• Flags are always placed at the end of the starting zone.
• If you did not enter a planned pace, you will receive the sticker for the zone when you receive your start number.
• If your start number does not have a time zone marking, you can request one at the competition center, at the registration problem resolution table.

At this event, everyone can only enter the starting zone corresponding to their predetermined expected pace (minutes/km).

This also aims to reduce the chaos of the first kilometers after the start, and unnecessary overtaking. If only runners with the same pace start from one zone, the beginning of the run will be much calmer and more predictable.

The timing service provider is AGNI-Timing.
Timing is done with RFID chips attached to the back of the starting number.

Rules for wearing bib numbers:

  • Wear your race number visibly throughout the race, on your stomach/chest (race number belt is allowed).
  • It is forbidden to cover the starting number.
  • Do not remove, fold, or pierce the chip on the back of your bib with a safety pin.
  • Make sure you wear your own race number during the race.
  • After arriving at your destination, please leave the measurement point as soon as possible.

both days:

  • 4.9 km – water, Powerade, glucose, banana

There is no on-site refreshment drop-off facility at the competition center.

At the refreshment stations along the route, we will place 1 cubic meter collection containers, primarily for collecting empty cups.

You will find the collection containers on both sides of the route, after the last refreshment table.
The last container is located about 50 meters from the end of the station, and this is also indicated by a separate sign. Please throw the waste you brought with you from the refreshment station into this container at the latest.

Please do not throw away any waste generated along the route, but put it in the containers placed at the refreshment station.

At the refreshment station, we will not give you water or soft drinks in glasses; you will always take them from the tables.

Do not put the used, empty glass back on the refreshment table!

At the refreshment stations, watch out for crowds and sudden movements. Don’t try to squeeze in between two runners for a quick drink or snack. Follow basic etiquette in a running race, wait your turn, and remember that there are often fewer people at the far end of the station. Don’t take more than you need, as there will likely be several runners behind you who may need a refresher even more than you do.

If weather conditions warrant, we will build additional temporary water points along the route.

The total time for both daily 10.5 km sections is 1 hour 35 minutes.

The absolute 1st-3rd place woman and man will be awarded.

The results will be announced based on the order of arrival at the finish line (gross time). The results list on the website (based on net time) may also show a different ranking.

In each event, only those registered for that event will be evaluated.

information after arrival

Order your medal insert engraved with your name and finish time in advance! Avoid the queue at the venue, and we will mail it to you approximately three weeks after the event.

We will engrave your name and finish time on a self-adhesive plastic plaque. The plaque fits perfectly into the recess on the back of the medal. You don't have to search for money after your run, stand in line at the venue and wait for your medal to be made, or send it to be engraved afterwards. We will make and mail the insert to you. When it arrives, you just stick it on the back of your medal and you have a personal memento of your achievement.
