  • Runners with strollers can participate in the race
    • characteristics of the track:
      • multi-lap race where overtaking is expected
      • In some parts of the track, the route becomes extremely narrow
      • There will be congestion due to the expected large number of participants.
      • Some sections of the track are dangerous (slippery sections are possible on the coastal part)
  • A competitor who folds, covers, or does not wear their race number clearly during the race may receive a 10-minute time penalty.
  • If the first member of the pair also completes the distance individually, he can enter the transition zone using the indicator label placed on his individual start number; he does not have to wear the pair start number.
  • A competitor may be disqualified if, despite repeated warnings, he violates the rule regarding wearing a start number, does not complete the entire distance of the race - designated by the organizers - or fills out the entry form inaccurately with inaccurate or incomplete data, or does not use the chip for its intended purpose.
  • For the sake of themselves and their fellow runners, it is not recommended for runners to listen to or use any music or other player plugged into both ears at the same time while completing the distance!

On the day of the event

It's always worth paying attention to the announcer! Some things may change or be modified on the day of the event and this is the only way we can inform you about them.

Meeting point

We will set up “Meeting Point” signs at the competition center, which are clearly visible from afar, so that competitors, relatives and fans can meet each other around them. If you are coming with a group or class, this is a safe spot where you can meet up even in the large crowd. Before you start, agree with your companions and chaperones on the exact meeting point after reaching the finish line.

Information

At each of our events you will meet a dedicated information team who will help you navigate not only the specific event. If you are interested in details of other BSI events, or would like to register for other running or walking distances this year, look for the BSI information tent near the Competition Center!

Lost children

They can provide information about children separated from their parents in the information tent. We ask you to contact them for help!

Etiquette

Arrive on time! – to avoid the stress of waiting in line at the competition center and changing rooms, to have time to meet up with friends you haven't seen in a while, or to meet new acquaintances and sports buddies.

During the event, do not block the entire width of the road. If you hear someone approaching, move aside as soon as possible and let them pass.

We ask that you keep the area of the competition center and the route, especially at the refreshment stations, clean! Use the waste containers provided and do not litter! Restoring the venue to its original condition is a very big task, thank you for helping us with this!

Conducting the start

The 1/6 marathon, starting at 4 p.m., will be a mass start. This means that the field will start together.

20 minutes before the start, in order to avoid crowding on the sidewalk next to the starting zones, you can only line up for the start from the Balaton side (through the fence opened between the changing rooms and Hotel Európa).

During this period, the entrance and exit to the locker room will only be from the Balaton side.

We will establish diversions on the Petőfi Promenade between Táncsics Mihály Street and Mikes Kelemen Street.

The timing service provider is AGNI-Timing.
Timing is done with UHF chips attached to the back of the starting number.

Timing is done using timing mats (antennas) placed on the ground, which detect the transmitter placed in the starting number from a distance of approximately 2-3 meters. Time stamping is done at the strongest signal (when passing over the mat).

To record successful individual times, please follow these rules:

Rules for wearing bib numbers:

Individual starters:

  • The race number must be worn visibly throughout the race, on the abdomen/chest (a race number belt is permitted).
  • The chip on the back of the bib number must not be removed, folded or pierced with a safety pin.
  • Everyone should make sure to wear their own race number during the race.
  • After arriving at your destination, please leave the measurement point as soon as possible.
